Tuticorin VOCPA extends its reach First Time to accommodate longest container vessel MSC VIDHI with LOA 277m & Arrival Draught of 12.5m on March 20, 2022 at Port.

With strenuous efforts to outreach the highs of V. O. Chidambaranar Port Authority and Dakshin Bharat Gateway Terminal on every level of Port and terminal operations, DBGT is proud to accommodate MV. MSC VIDHI with LOA 277m & Arrival Draught of 12.5m on March 20, 2022, the lengthiest container vessel ever called V.O. Chidambaranar Port.

The ADHOC call is being operated by MSC Agency (India) Pvt. Ltd. The call has come during disrupted situation prevailing in EXIM Trade. DBGT has reached the milestone by surpassing the earlier record of accommodating 269m Container Vessel and hereby extending its commitment to Trade with continuous efforts to improve the existing infrastructure and its reliability.

MV. MSC VIDHI with load capacity of about 5770 TEU's, arrived from Port Louis, the largest container carrier ever called VOC Port - Tuticorin. The vessel has total throughput of 1549 Crane Moves at Tuticorin and bound to Colombo as next port. Despite current trade crisis due to Port Congestions, Equipment shortage, VOC Port Authority always finds alternative solutions along with DBGT and Tuticorin Trade Fraternity to serve our hinterlands with such special arrangements.

DBGT is continuously striving to achieve Improvement on overall Terminal performance to serve the trade with more values surpassing the previously set performance benchmarks.
